Lumen Prep, an educational consulting service based in Dallas, empowers high school students from grades 9 to 12 through personalized, long-term mentorship that goes far beyond traditional academic counseling. They help students not only gain admission to their best-fit schools but also discover who they are and what they stand for.
Lumen Prep came to Creative Faze looking for a website that could capture that mission: something warm, professional, and human. The goal was to create a platform that spoke directly to students and their families, while reflecting the heart and purpose behind the brand.
To bring Lumen Prep’s vision to life, we built a custom website on the Wix platform, a low-code and flexible solution that allows the team to easily update content and scale as their business grows. Here’s how we made it happen:
A Purpose-Driven Design
We designed the new Lumen Prep website as an engaging and emotionally resonant experience for both students and parents. The clean, modern layout highlights the transformative mentorship journey while balancing warmth and professionalism. Every page was built to make visitors feel guided, supported, and inspired.
A standout element of the project was the use of custom illustrations designed exclusively for Lumen Prep. More than simple visuals, these illustrations served as storytelling devices that brought the mentorship journey to life. Each illustration supported the narrative of student transformation and progress, visually reinforcing the supportive and uplifting spirit at the heart of Lumen Prep’s mission. By weaving these visuals throughout the site, we created a cohesive and emotionally engaging experience that deepens the brand’s connection with students and families.
Strategic Content Placement
Lumen Prep came to the table with thoughtful, meaningful copy. Our job was to give it structure and flow:
- A Home page that communicates mission, vision, and values right from the first glance, complete with clear calls-to-action like “Start Your Journey.”
- An About page that introduces the Lumen Prep founder, sharing his passion and experience in mentorship to create a personal connection.
- An Our Approach page that includes a detailed student journey that walks readers through each stage of the mentorship process, from Grade 9 to Grade 12.
- A clean, accordion-style FAQs page designed to provide clarity and reduce repetitive inquiries.
Seamless Functionality
We ensured the site not only looked great but worked beautifully:
- Calendly integration for easy consultation booking directly through the website.
- Mobile optimization for a seamless experience on any device.
- SEO setup, including meta descriptions, alt tags, and clean URLs, to help Lumen Prep reach more families searching for student mentorship programs online.
- Social media integration, connecting visitors to Lumen Prep’s LinkedIn and Instagram for ongoing engagement.

We set up the site so that the Lumen Prep team can confidently manage and update it themselves. With a quick training session and an intuitive Wix interface, they’re equipped to evolve their site as their business grows, no coding required.
