When a national brand updates its corporate branding, ensuring consistency across digital channels is key, especially for high-visibility platforms like YourTV and NousTV, which deliver local programming to communities across Ontario and Quebec. These community-focused platforms, operated by Cogeco, reflect the voices, events, and stories of the regions they serve. Ensuring that the branding and digital experience align with Cogeco’s evolving identity was critical to maintaining viewer trust and organizational cohesion. That’s where Creative Faze stepped in: to bring Cogeco’s brand to life across two of its key Drupal websites.

How Creative Faze Made it Awesome

Applied Cogeco Branding to Two Key Sites

When Cogeco rolled out their refreshed corporate branding, they needed a development partner who could implement the visual update seamlessly, without disrupting the functionality or feel of their key public-facing platforms. That’s where Creative Faze came in, applying the refreshed Cogeco branding across their two Drupal-based websites: YourTV (English) and NousTV (French).

Bringing Design Consistency to Life

Our role involved working directly with Cogeco’s internal CSS framework to implement the new design language. This wasn’t just a quick facelift. We carefully integrated the refreshed branding across layouts, components, and page templates. By extending and enhancing the existing CSS architecture, we were able to create a polished, modern visual experience while respecting the original technical structure of both sites.

The result? Consistent and unified branding that still leaves room for the distinct character of each local community the sites represent.

Beyond the Basics: Theming Key Functional Areas on YourTV

For the YourTV platform, Creative Faze was also asked to extend the new theme into deeper areas of the site that serve essential community content:

  • Community Message Listing Page: We applied the updated Cogeco branding to a Community Message listings page, one of the most actively used areas on the site. This redesign served as a reference and foundation for extending the new theme across other regional listing pages.
  • Microsite Theming: YourTV features a network of microsites created for individual shows, events, and initiatives. Each microsite includes a title, logo, description, and an expandable library of videos. We applied the new Cogeco theme to a sample microsite, which was then used as a template for all future microsite creation, ensuring a consistent user experience and alignment with the broader YourTV brand.

Dual-Language Precision

As a bilingual platform, branding needed to feel just as cohesive and effective in French as it did in English. For NousTV, we adapted all theming and layout enhancements with this in mind, ensuring a seamless transition of design and functionality across both language versions of the site.
